160 Tph Wet Mix Macadam Plant For Myanmar | Atlas Industries

Atlas has dispatched its 160 tph wet mix macadam plant for Myanmar. This is our second soil stabilization plant. The plant is equipped with components and wiring complete in all aspects. This will allow us to produce in quick time. The machine selected is a stationary type. Wet mix macadam plants usually mix different sizes of aggregates along with cement and water. This addition is done in the pug mill type mixing unit. Each material is weighed separately before it gets into the mixing zone. The percentage of cement added in the wet mix macadam plant is usually 3-5%.

WMM Plant capacity is rated at 160 TPH. There are some factors that will affect the same. The aggregate mean density should be 1.6 ton/m3. If soil is sticky then the production will drop by at least 20%. The reason is that as the soil gets sticky they render more load on the mixing blades. The mixing blades then give more load on the gear and motor. Hence to avoid excessive wear and tear or breakdown it is advisable to reduce the material flow when the aggregates are excessively sticky. Material size should not be more than 60 mm otherwise it can cause the mixer to get jam. The material should not be flaky or oblong.

To get full output in the soil stabilization plant we need to run the plant continuously. There should not be single material in excessive proportion. Aggregates should be non-porous or excessive sticky.  Though there is no heating involved in this process the pug mill mixer mixes well in quick time.

All components of the wet mix macadam plant work in tandem to produce quality and homogeneously mixed macadam. This customer had also a requirement of adding 3-5% of cement so the plant also has a provision to add cement in the mix. After discussing in detail the customer's requirement we suggested the below components for their wet mix macadam plant. Cement silo will be arranged/manufactured by customers in Myanmar. This will help them reduce costs.

Apart from the above components, we made sure that all the components come with metal base plates which will help in the fast erection. All the components are pre-wired with a junction box at each unit. This will ensure that no time is wasted at the site for wiring work. A cement filling compressor will help to fill cement from the bulker unit into the cement silo.
